What is E-Verify & E-Verify+?

E-Verify is an internet-based system that allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States. It was created by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) to help employers verify the identity and employment eligibility of newly hired employees. 


Employers who use E-Verify submit information from their employees’ Form I-9 to the system. The E-Verify system then compares it with data from the DHS and SSA databases to confirm the employees’ work authorization.   • Photo Matching

Employers can verify the identity of their employees by comparing the photo on their employment authorization document with the photo stored in the E-Verify system. 


  • Document Validation

E-Verify+ will allow employers to validate the authenticity of identity and employment authorization documents provided by their employees. 


  • Self Check

This product will allow employees to check their own work authorization status before they are hired by an employer who uses E-Verify. 


  • Case Management

It will offer improved case management tools for employers to track and manage their E-Verify cases more efficiently. 


  • Compliance Assistance

It implies the additional resources and support to help employers understand and comply with the E-Verify program requirements.
